Computer Configuration
The Buzz Broadband customer service team is trained
and experienced in providing over the phone assistance. Although your PC was set
up by an installer at the time of installation, we know that things can happen and
you may need support to get things working again. Our friendly and professional
customer service team is here to help whether you are a first time user or an experienced
IT guru.
Please note that our customer service team can only
provide support to the first standalone PC connected to the internet. If you require
assistance for LANs or multiple PCs, while our friendly staff may be eager to assist,
we ask that you contact your own IT support company or systems administrator. Alternatively,
our customer service team will be more than happy to suggest one.
We are unable to provide support for Windows 3.x, UNIX
or related operating systems. We are able to and will try to provide support for
Macintosh systems where possible.

Speed
Buzz Broadband’s wireless service maintains a minimum
service level for every customer that is considerably better than the industry standard.
If you are a current customer of Buzz Wireless Broadband you will notice that the
service is not speed limited but rather limited by the data limit you selected when
you joined.
What this means to you? You will receive on average
considerably better speeds and latency on your service than a comparable broadband
service. We market our service as a 2MB/2MB averaged contended service. That means
across our networks users can expect maximum speeds of up to 2MB/2MB wireless broadband
service.
This maximum level of service is determined by several
factors that are inherent in wireless technology:
·
Distance from the transmission point.
·
Amount of interference between you and the transmission
point.
·
Congestion of the internet between you and the web
resource you are trying to access.
·
And of course, speed of upload service at the site
you are uploading.
You can expect a minimum speed slightly better than
a 512/512 ADSL service and up to speeds equivalent to a 1500/1500 ADSL service in
the best cases and yes;….. these speeds are available even on our cheapest plans.
To test that your Buzz Broadband connection meets minimum
broadband requirements, go to the Broadband Connect customer data speed test facility
